Epe Innovation Challenge

About epe innovation challenge

The Epe Innovation Challenge for Senior Secondary Schools aims to foster creativity and innovation amongst secondary students in Epe. The Challenge seeks to incorporate a project/problem-based learning model to engage Epe students in solving real-world challenges both within their locality and in the global landscape, thereby fostering community and global development.

This year’s focus is Food Security

Student-teams provide technology-enabled solutions that solve the challenge of FOOD SECURITY under the following thematic areas:

◉ Food Production
◉ New Recipes for Medicinal and Nutritional Foods
◉ Food Preservation
◉ Technology that Improves the Experience of Food Consumption

The students representing their schools will be required to create teams of three students together with a teacher-mentor to help them fine-tune their ideas and innovation, which will then be pitched before judges in succeeding stages of the Challenge until the selected finalists pitch at the Grand Finale.
